Free surgeries - GRAFT Foundation assists needy patients

The Graft Foundation in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service (GHS) is offering free reconstructive surgery for needy people from August 24 to September 2, 2017.

During the exercise, the medical anomalies that would be corrected include; Cleft lip and palate, post-burn contractures, extra fingers and toes, used fingers and toes, tumours and swellings, hyposadia and Genital Filariasis.

According to Dr Brainerd Anane, Projects Director, GRAFT Foundation, the screening venues and dates are; Amasaman District Hospital, August 1, 2017, Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge), August 2, Shai Osu-Doku District Hospital (Dodowa), August 3, Ada District Hospital, August 4 and Tema General Hospital, August 5, 2017.

He said in April and May this year, the foundation, in collaboration with GHS, registered and screened some needy people for a similar exercise in all district and regional hospitals in the Eastern and Greater Accra regions.

He described the exercise as successful and encouraged needy patients with the conditions enumerated to patronise the exercise.
