The Human Resource Manager of Coca-Cola, Madam Francoise Cleland presented the dummy cheque to Ghana's COVID-19 Private Sector Fund Administrator, Mr Felix Kyei-Mensah on Wednesday in Accra.

The Corporate Affairs Director of the Equatorial Coca Cola Bottling Company (West African Countries Business Unit), Mr Bethel Yeboah said they began to donate to fund last year following calls to corporate Ghana to support the COVID-19 fight.

He said the company had involved its customers in the effort by paying 10 pesewas off any 1.5-litre bottle product to the fund.

He pledged Coca-Cola's commitment towards donating to the fund because it was a public health investment.

He also urged the public to get vaccinated against Covid-19 to reduce the spread of the illness.

Mr Kyei-Mensah thanked the company for the immense support to GIDC, adding that because of such donations a lot of people had enjoyed the services of the facility without paying any fees.

The Acting Director of the GIDC, Dr Joseph Oliver Commey said the donation would be used to maintain the centre and build similar centres across the country. He also expressed gratitude to the company for supporting the Centre.
