The campaign on the theme, “Peace, United We Stand”, was to ensure peace before, during, and after the Supreme Court’s verdict while creating awareness of the need to keep the environment clean.

As part of the campaign , the members last Monday cleaned and fumigated gutters at the Tema Station in Accra amid music and dance to create awareness about the peace the country currently enjoys.

The District Operations Supervisor of Osu Klottey

Sub-Metro, Mr Kenneth Nortey, said the campaign had started a week earlier and was going in all the districts in the country.

He said Ghana was a beacon of hope in Africa, as well as a shining example of a democratic nation, hence the need to prevent violence even after the court verdict.

He, therefore, urged Ghanaians to be mindful of their utterances and help maintain the peace that the nation took pride in while keeping their environment clean.

Madam Ashie, in her remarks, also called for peace, unity and understanding among the populace.

“Let’s always remember that Ghana is the only country we have and nowhere else. Take pride in the nation and cherish it at all times by preventing conflicts,” she said.

The Operations Supervisor for Zoomlion, Mr Daniel Martey, also said keeping the peace in the country was a shared responsibility for all, adding that Ghanaians should do all they could to avoid conflict at all times.
