Women Empowerment Fellowship assists three institutions

Women Empowerment Fellowship International (WEFI), a non-profit organisation has presented a number of items valued at GH¢16,100.00 to resource three institutions in the Asahanti Region.  They are the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), All Nations Charity Home and Duase RC Primary School.

The President of the WEFI, Mrs Doris Amankwa, who made the presentation, asked the beneficiary institutions to take proper care of the items and use them for their intended purpose.

She said since the inception of WEFI five years ago, it had supported the needy in the society and helped in reshaping  lives.

Continuous support 

She, therefore, pledged continuous support for the beneficiary institutions.

At KATH in Kumasi, WEFI presented general paediatric equipment valued at GH¢4, 800.00 for emergency use at the Paediatric Emergency Unit (PEU).

The PEU has been adopted by WEFI, and the fellowship is contributing its widow’s mite to resource the unit to improve efficient health delivery.

A Deputy Director of Nursing Services (DDNS), Philomena Nyame Saim, who received the equipment on behalf of the PEU, expressed gratitude to WEFI for the benevolence.

At Ayigya, WEFI presented exercise books, 10 crates of eggs, five boxes of biscuits, toilet rolls, toffees, Indomie and assorted drinks valued at GH¢6,000.00 to the All Nations Charity Home.

The Director of the Home, Rev. Philip Nyamekye, thanked WEFI for the support, and said it was a worthy example for the public to emulate.

At Duase near Kenyase in the Kwabre East District, WEFI presented 1, 800 exercise books valued at GH¢5,300 to the Duase RC Primary School.

The books were received by the head teacher of the school, Mr Jacob Amike, who expressed gratitude to WEFI and asked for God’s blessings for the organisation.
