They are Abdulai Gawuni Huruna, Musah Mohammed, Mohammed Azia and Mohammed Kamara.

Huruna and Mohammed were arrested after they had held a gold dealer at gunpoint to rob him of his precious mineral at Wassa Akropong in the Amenfi East District, while Azia and Kamara were arrested after they had mounted a road block at Abeagye, near Half Assini in the Jomoro District, to rob passengers of their valuables.

According to the police, Huruna and Mohammed allegedly blocked roads in areas where there were no telephones and robbed passengers of their monies and personal effects.

In the case of Azia and Karama, they were said to have called a gold dealer (name withheld) ostensibly to buy gold but ended up robbing him of his precious mineral.

The Western Regional Police Commander, DCOP Kofi Boakye, told journalists that the four suspects would be processed for court after the police had completed investigations into the two cases.
