We’ll continue uncompleted projects
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Adentan Municipal Assembly (AdMA), Nii-Noi Daniel A. Adumuah, has pledged to continue uncompleted projects started by his predecessor.

“I will continue and complete all uncompleted projects started by my predecessor and go ahead to start new ones. Development is a process,” he stated.
Nii-Noi Adumuah said this during an interaction with some senior journalists and editors at Adjirigano in the Greater Accra Region to roll out his development agenda.
Currently, there are a number of projects ranging from road construction, school blocks to health facilities that were started by the previous MCE which are at various stages of completion.
Nii-Noi Adumuah captured various development projects in the municipality under the acronym, “EASI-HR” representing education, agriculture, sanitation, infrastructure, health and relationships.
Agriculture
On agriculture, he announced that through the efforts of the Municipal Agriculture Department, about 100 hectares of farms within the municipality that were affected by the fall army worms had been disinfected completely.
He said the municipality, though urban, was a focal point of agricultural activities in the region, citing, for instance, the four agricultural research institutions in the municipality.
They are the Dairy Farm at Amrahia, the Animal Research Institute of the CSIR, the University of Ghana Farms and the Nungua Farms.
“We are blessed with the knowledge base from which we can extract to the benefit of our people,” Nii-Noi Adumuah stressed, saying that meant a lot of information on agriculture within the municipality and that the next step was to harness the potential to the benefit of the people.
Mushroom
The MCE said about 5,500 jobs were expected to be generated out of a mushroom farming project in the municipality and expressed the hope that income from the farm would increase from GH¢4000 to GH¢30,000 by December 2020.
He said the three-year project, estimated to cost €816,000, was aimed at developing the local economy to create employment opportunities for women, the youth and Persons With Disability (PWDs).
Nii-Noi Adumuah announced that all assembly members in the municipality would be required to register persons interested within their areas for training towards the project.

The News Editor of the Ghanaian Times, Mr Matthew Ayoo, who spoke on behalf of the journalists, thanked the MCE for outlining his development plans and urged the assembly to ensure free flow of information to journalists.
He stated that journalists were partners in development and that “we will praise you where praises are due but will criticise where it is necessary”.
