Viala receives Project Management Award

The Managing Director of Strescon Engineering Consultancy Limited, William Desbordes Albert Viala, is the third awardee of the  Global Project Management Icon Awards held on Thursday, July 11 , 2013 at the company’s premises in Accra.

Dubbed, “the Quintessential Global Project Icon”, the award has been instituted by Shelley’s Investment and Management Limited (SIMA),  and the American Academy of Project Management (AAPM), to recognise and reward distinguished personalities who have influenced and created international impact for economic and development on the continent.

A citation attached to the award read, “These awards are given to distinguished personalities who, among others, become part of a continental agenda to transform the current developmental setbacks into huge gains and possibilities for citizens of our rich continent”.

Fellow of American Academy of Project Management will be conferred on the awardees to boost their public identity and status.

In addition, the awardees will become chartered members of the worlds most prestigious graduate and professional career portfolio in project management and  offered an executive corporate relationship with Harvard Business School.

So far, three Ghanaian business executives have been nominated for the coveted awards. They are Dr Mrs Theresa Oppong Beeko, President of MANET Group,  Stephen Kingsley Nketia, Chief Engineer of Ledzokuku Krowor Municipal Assembly and William Desbordes Albert Viala ,an engineer.
