The Vegetarian Association of Ghana (VegGhana) will hold its tenth “Ghana Vegfest” from October 24-25 at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra
This year’s event is on the theme, “Go organic! go green ! save the planet,’'
According to the Vice-President of VegGhana, Dr Kolawole Braimah, the objective of the fair was to educate the public on plant based diet for healthy living.
He said the Ghana Vegfest was a platform for the public, vegetarian associations, societies, agencies, academicians and researchers from all parts of the globe to share and promote the concept of plant based diet for a healthy and vibrant society.
The occasion, he added also marked the 10th anniversary of Vegghana.
Dr Kolawole said the non-profit making organisation had been holding the annual event since its inception in 2005.

Activities for the Vegfest include the exhibition of vegetarian products and diets, health products, services and conferences.
He indicated that it was the aim of the association to reach many Ghanaians with ‘our preventive health initiatives for healthier lifestyles.’
