This follows a mob attack on Mr. Osmanu Konkonaba, alias Borga, the Second Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper East region earlier this morning.

Mr. Konkonaba and his driver were attacked at the mortuary when they arrived in a Mercedes Benz saloon car. It took the intervention of the police, who fired warning shots, to disperse the crowd. It is not clear what triggered this attack, but it is believed that it is in connection with the death of Mr. Adam Mahama, NPP regional chairman, who suffered acid bath Wednesday night.
