Dubbed “12-Hour Prayerthon 2013”, the service was jointly organised by the Graphic Communications Group Limited and Multi TV.

As a prelude to the 12-hour Prayerthon, midnight prayers were said on August 28 and August 29, 2013 to ask God to grant the nation peace during and after the judgement.

The all-night service started at 8 p.m. with worship and praises ministration to God.

It was followed by prayers for the nation, its leaders, the media, the economy, sustained peace land, national unity, among others.

The prayer sessions were led by ministers of the Gospel.

The service, which was on the theme: “Peace and Prosperity in our Land”, was telecast live on Multi TV’s Jesus Channel.

The event was under the auspices of the Christian Council of Ghana, the Catholic Bishops Conference, the Pentecostal Council and the National Association of Charismatic and Christian churches.

Prayerthon is a non-denominational intercessory prayer session which was instituted by Multi TV in 2011 to ensure the spiritual health and growth of the country.
