Sir John's messege for Eid-Ul-Fitr

The Chief Executive of the Forestry Commission, Mr Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie has sent warmest greetings to the Muslim Community as they celebrate Eid-Ul-Fitr.

According to him, after 30 days of fasting and prayers, the Muslims must be commended for their prayers towards peace and good of the nation.

"First let me greet Muslim staff of the Forestry Commission and all Muslims across the country and beyond for successfully going through the Ramadan," he said.

In a message, Mr. Afriyie said: "The role of the Muslim community in the development of Ghana cannot be over emphasized and as such it was crucial for him to part of that community."

He said: "The peaceful and united manner the Muslim community had existed with other religious groups was commendable."

Mr. Afriyie said that such peace and harmony would inure to the benefit of all Ghanaians as they promot development.

"As we are celebrating, let us observe all the protocols associated with the COVID-19 in our own interest because Ghana and the rest of the world are not in good times because of the deadly virus, " he said.

He said: "On the occasion of this year's Eid-Ul-Fitr, I wish my Muslim fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters Barka Da Salla," he added.
