Director – General, Research, Planning and ICT of the Ghana Police Service, COP  David Asante – Apeatu has advised Police Personnel to continuously fall on each other for knowledge as no one is an epitome of knowledge to ensure that the confidence Ghanaians have in the police Service is sustained.

COP David Asante – Apeatu said, for every institution to make progress in whatever it has chosen to do, it is significant and to review its methods of operation, upgrading of knowledge and skills.

COP David Asante – Apeatu was addressing fifty (50) police officers at the Graduation Ceremony of Junior Command Course II at the Ghana Police Command and Staff College in Winneba.

He said the Police administration has continued over the years to institute measures to bring the service to the level of international best practice and improve upon the services that it renders to the public. 

“The administration recognizes the fact that the way to go in modern policing is preventive or proactive policing strategy and I challenge you to learn and enhance your capacity in order to manage your jurisdictions efficiently” He added.

ACP Mrs. Yaa Tiwaa Addo – Danquah, the commandant of the Ghana Police Command and Staff College, Winneba congratulated the Officers and said, the command and staff College will continue to ensure that students are taken through the curricula of the college to prepare officers to perform their duties professionally up to the levels of international best practices. 

She said, all topics were critically examined and discussed with practical examples from the field to help students better appreciate issues and hoped the  zeal with which the students participated in all activities of the college is clear indication of their preparedness to deliver at their various jurisdiction.

DSP, Dr.Frank Hupporti,  the course senior student in his valedictory speech appealed  all Police officers, both Junior and SPO’s to Pass resolution for  a fifty (50) percent of all interests earned on the investment of police welfare contributions raised to support infrastructural projects of command and staff college, 

The students also handed over to the college an office renovated by the graduating officers through their contributions.
