As part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and also the good relationship they had with GIS, the President of RSHS –Africa, Mr Harm Ploeger said they wanted to give back to the community, so when GIS Tema regional office requested for their help, the company didn’t hesitate to help.

“We work within Ghana export most some of our products as a Free Zone Enterprise, hence the immigration is our friend, especially those at the port, so it feels good that they would be using our product and that’s some sort of a plus for us”, he expressed.

Local goods

He also made known that, it was GIS that brought their own container and that all RSHS had to do was to convert it into a two-room containerized office building with locally manufactured products from the company. as another way of promoting the use of Ghanaian materials.

“Everything in the container was locally manufactured by our company, except of course the fan and air-condition”, he added.

Gratitude

The Acting Regional Commander for GIS Tema regional office, Madam Prudence Aku Sosu, who received the converted container on their behalf expressed their gratitude and said they were looking forward for more of  these kind gestures, especially towards the government sector because it helped facilitate their work.

“We are very happy because this container would help ease the pressure in the congested offices, and we are hoping to get more, this was done for free but we hope to acquire more by ourselves”, she said.

Madam Sosuh cited that before they used to rent an office until they got their own land, but then building would take more time, hence she found this office container more convenient.
