The facility which was mainly funded by Devtraco Limited, with additional funding by Rotary Club Accra-Labone at a cost of about GH¢26,000, has an iron filter and four water distribution points.

The community has over the years been plagued with water crisis. The only borehole that served the community had a high iron content (more than 10 mg/litre) beyond the World Health Organisation (WHO's) acceptable standards.

As a result, the people had to depend on a stream that also served as a source of drinking water for animals and which usually dried up in the dry season.
