Robbers attack passengers on Oda-Accra road

About eight suspected armed robbers last Thursday attacked passengers on board five commercial buses on the Oda-Accra main road, between Akyem Akroso and Bantama.

They robbed their victims of various sums of money and mobile phones.
According to the Oda Municipal Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Issah Mohammend Cantona, the robbers, who started their operation around 7:30 p.m, blocked the road with pieces of wood.
Meanwhile, users of the road have appealed to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), to provide security in the area at night due to the spate of armed robberies there.
