Briefing journalists on the visit at the Flagstaff House in Accra yesterday, a deputy minister of Information and Media Relations, Mr Felix Ofosu Kwakye, said the visit would further cement and consolidate the healthy relations that had existed between Ghana and South Africa for decades.

Besides, he said, the visit was also reciprocal to that of the late President John Evans Atta Mills a couple of years ago.

Mr Ofosu Kwakye said the South African President would be signing memoranda of understanding and also engage the business community in discussions as part of the three-day state visit.

Members of the South African President's delegation will also hold bilateral discussions with their business counterparts in Ghana to map the way forward in commercial relations.

The deputy minister said as part of the South African President’s visit, there would be a business forum at the La Palm Hotel in Accra after which President Zuma and his delegation would also visit some important landmarks including schools.
