The presentation followed the appeal made by the school to aid in the construction of pavements to create a conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning.

Presenting the cheque, the General Manager of the company, Technical, Mr Henry Bukary, said the presentation was the company’s gesture to give back part of its profit to communities within which it operated.

He expressed the hope that the pavement of the school would entice the teachers to give off their best to mould their students to become useful citizens in future.

Mr Bukari advised the students to be obedient to the teachers and do away with all negative tendencies which would hinder their academic progress.

Receiving the cheque, the Headmistress of the School, Mrs Ruth Djietror, thanked the company for its gesture and promised that the money would be used for the purpose for which it was donated.

She called on other companies dotted around the school to emulate the gesture of Phoenix Insurance Company by coming to the aid of the school.

The Head of Marketing of the company, Mr Michael Okyere-Baafi, said the company would continue to discharge its social responsibilities to ensure the welfare of the needy individuals and communities in the country.
