The donation prompted the Konor of Manya Krobo, Nene Sackitey II, to urge citizens of the area and philanthropists to come to the aid of the school.

Mr Moses Asiam, Administrative Assistant of the Narh-Bita Hospital, who made the donation on behalf of the hospital, said the gesture was meant to help equip the school to train more nurses.

He said although there was a challenge of recruiting all trained nurses by government hospital, it was still necessary to train nurses to assist other health professionals to give quality health care to the sick and generate a healthy workforce for national development.

Mr Asiam expressed the hope that other public-spirited institutions and individuals would assist the school to achieve its objectives.

Receiving the items, the Principal of the school, Madam Marcelina Kwose, thanked the Narh-Bita Hospital for its generous donation and appealed to all, especially Krobos, to come to the aid of the school with items such as a motorbike, a vehicle, medical equipment and books.

She said it was the expectation of the school that well-to-do people would respond to the request from the school to enable it to achieve the aim for which the school was established.
