An emergency meeting held at the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO)headquarters on Thursday October 17 resulted to dispatch relief items to the victims.

Speaking in an interview with an Accra based Starr FM, the National Communications Director for NADMO George Ayisi said the items will reach the victims later on Saturday.

“Today they are loading the trucks and tomorrow they’ll take off to the place.

'It’s a journey from Accra to Bolgatanga and then to the districts and so we hope that maximum by Saturday they should be there.

'We are sending rice, tomatoes, ration and of cause blankets and other things.

'We’ve already given some but we are adding more to go and support them'. he said.

Mr Ayisi mentioned that the relief items include cooking oil, rice, blankets, vegetables, bread, cloths, toiletries, saying even though some of these things have already been delivered to them, this is an additional items to rescue the situation.
