MP's death; Stan Dogbe not under investigations - Police

The Police Administration have dismissed rumors that Presidential staffer Mr Stan Xoexe Dogbe has been invited over the killing of the Abuakwa North Member of Parliament, Mr Joseph Boakye Danquah- Adu.

According to the police, the suspect in custody over the matter has not mentioned Mr. Dogbe’s name as was being circulated on social media.

“The attention of the Police has been drawn to stories circulating in the Public domain that the name of Mr. Stan Dogbe and other political personalities have been mentioned in connection with the murder of the Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North," a statement issued and signed on Saturday by Superintendent Cephas Arthur, Director of Police Public Affairs said.

“The police can state on authority that the suspect has never mentioned Mr Stan Dogbe’s name or any politician's name as of now,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, the presidential staffer had in an earlier statement condemned rumours that he had been mentioned in connection with the murder. He also chastised the Police for being mute over the allegations against him.
