MP for Tema Central reaches out to aged and vulnerable persons under lockdown

The Member of Parliament for Tema Central in the Greater Accra Region, Mr Kofi Brako has donated food items in support of the aged and other vulnerable people in the constituency.

These included bags of rice, gallons of edible oil and sanitisers.

The MP, who went from house-to-house to distribute the items and interacted with the beneficiaries, said the gesture was to bring some comfort to them as they observe the partial lockdown imposed by the government in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

He underlined his determination to do everything he could to make things a bit better for the vulnerable n the constituency.

Mr Brako explained that the intervention which falls under his Social Intervention Initiative for the was aimed at supporting the most vulnerable and elderly who would have difficulty with providing food as well as basic hygiene products for themselves and their families in light of the current situation and subsequent days ahead.

He urged the youth in the community to be each other’s keeper and show generosity to the socially-disadvantaged in these trying times.

One of the beneficiaries, Mr James Allan Kofie expressed appreciation to the MP for the gesture.
