Mim: Robbers attack mobile money vendor

The Police has appealed to the public to assist with information that will lead to the arrest of suspected robbers who attacked and robbed a 29-year old mobile money merchant of about GH¢8000, a motorbike and other personal belongings at Mim in the Brong Ahafo Region.

The merchant, Eric Owusu told the police that, the unidentified persons hit him at the back with a stick whilst he alighted from his motorbike to enter his room on Monday, March 26, 2018.

According to him, when he fell unconscious, the robbers bolted with his motorbike and the amount - GH¢327 cash, GH¢3500 mobile money loaded on mobile phone, GH¢350 worth of call credit cards and an electronic device which also contained GH¢3060.

The Brong Ahafo Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Chief Inspector Augustine Kingsley Oppong told Graphic Online that informants would be handsomely rewarded for information that will lead to an arrest.

The police said Owusu sustained some injuries following the alleged attack, adding that he was issued with a police medical form to attend to hospital.
