McDan supports Yaa Naa's funeral

The McDan Group of companies has donated a cash amount of GHC10,000.00, 20 bags of maize and 20 bags of rice to support the performance of the final funeral rite of the late Yaa-Naa Mahamadu Abdulai IV.

At a short ceremony to present the items at the Gbewa Palace, the son of the late Vice President, Alhaji Alieu Mahama, Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama, said he was happy that peace was returning to the Dagbon state.

He said he would continue to support any activity that promotes peace in the area.

Alhaji Farouk was accompanied by the Mr Gerald Owusu Duku, special aid to the Chief Executive Officer of the McDan Group, Gub Gbaa Wulana Yakubu, and Alhaji Ziblila Mahama among other dignitaries.

The Group CEO, Dr. Daniel Mckorley who is also a development chief of Tamale (Gub Gbaa Naa) in a statement through his representative, Mr. Gerald Owusu Duku, pledged that he will continue to support and associate with Dagbong in its quest for development.

He called on all, particularly the youth to conduct themselves responsibly to ensure a peaceful and a successful occasion.

He said peace and unity are critical ingredients for development and must be guarded by all, particularly the youth.

The family of the late king commended McDan Group and the Aliu Mahama Foundation for their support.
