Matcom presents Energiser torches to police
Gold Coast Matcom Limited (GCM Ltd), a marketing and distribution company, has presented Energiser torches and batteries worth GH¢10,000 to the Accra Regional Police.
The items are to support the police to enable them to intensify their visibility patrols in the metropolis and road checks at night, especially before, during and after the Supreme Court (SC) ruling on the election petition.
At a short ceremony in Accra last Thursday, the Sales and Marketing Director of the GCM Ltd, Mr Deepu Vasnani, said the gesture was in line with the company’s social responsibility.
Receiving the items, the Accra Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP), Mr Christian Tetteh Yohonu, thanked GCM Ltd for the gesture and gave an assurance that the police would not relent in their efforts at combating crime in the country.
He said the items would enhance the operations and activities of the police during visibility patrols, especially ahead of the Supreme Court verdict on August, 29, this year.
Mr Yohonu warned that the police would not deal lightly with anyone who would attempt to breach the peace of Ghana.
