Latex Foam supports brilliant needy students at Legon
For the sixth time running the management of Latex Foam Company Limited has lent support to some needy brilliant students of the University of Ghana,Legon.

In a ceremony at the Pro Vice-Chancellor’s office at the university, the management of Latex Foam presented a cheque for Gh¢12,000 to support needy students on campus.
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Latex Foam, Ms Gifty Appiah, said the company was motivated to assist the students considering the university’s contribution to manpower development in the country.
She said the support was also an indication of the company’s commitment to ensuring that acdemically brilliant needy students received quality education.
Commendation
The Pro Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Kwame Offei, who received the cheque, commended the management of Latex Foam for their support.
He noted that “the partnership between the two is underpinned by our shared values and commitment with regard to education in the country.”
Professor Offei expressed appreciation to the company for its support, stating that, many students were going through financial challenges and therefore such interventions were welcome.
He said there were occasions when some of the students had to undertake menial jobs at the end of the semester to make ends meet.
“My wish and prayer therefore, is for this partnership with Latex Foam to continue for as long as possible,” Professor Offei intimated.
He appealed to other companies to also contribute their quota to the development of the university.
