The Central Regional Commander of the Motor Traffic and Transport Unity (MTTU), Superintendent Paul Aduhene, told the Daily Graphic that the accident occurred around 1.30 pm on Wednesday.
He indicated that the Urvan mini-bus with registration number GCPP 3896-10 was coming from Mankessim to Cape Coast and on reaching the Kotokuraba by-pass hills, the brakes of the bus being driven by one Kofi Badu Smith failed causing him to lose control of the bus.
The bus then ran into an embankment near the main Kotokuraba-Master Sam road killing the two pedestrians.
Superintendent Aduhene called for care and caution on the roads to reduce accidents.
