Kimo Home equips plumbers, students with skills
The Kimo Home in Accra has organised a day's training workshop on plumbing and its related activities for some plumbers in Kumasi and students of the Kumasi Technical Institute (KTI).

The workshop, which benefited about 55 plumbers, including students, was aimed at updating them with modern developments in the plumbing sector.
It gave the company the opportunity to introduce some of its new brands of sanitary ware to the plumbers and to address some of the problems they faced in using Kimo range of products.
While thanking the participants for attending the workshop, the Kumasi Manager of Kimo Home, Mr Ganesh Jayancharan, said it was imperative that plumbers came together, especially under the Kimo Home Plumbers Association, to discuss matters of mutual interest.
Kimo Home, which deals in sanitary ware and tiles, has been operating in the country for decades and has initiated the Kimo Home Plumbers Association, a group aimed at bringing plumbers together to share ideas and experiences.
The workshop in Kumasi thus gave the company the opportunity to inaugurate the Kumasi chapter of the association.
Mr Akshay Bangera, Projects Manager at Kimo Home, told the plumbers that Kimo Home would undertake quarterly presentations at their meetings on the proper installation, care and maintenance of sanitary ware and other plumbing products.
He made the plumbers aware that Kimo Home hopes to build a professional group of plumbers by giving them regular skills training, seminars and product knowledge updates.
She thus encouraged the members to be serious with the association’s meetings to enable them gain professional experience, adding that such experience could later earn them an award in the Kimo Home awards scheme.
Kimo Home holds an awards scheme to honour outstanding plumbers for exceptional work done, excellent customer service and good plumbing installation knowledge.
