Kidnapper of Tiger Eye member in custody
The Tamale Circuit Court has remanded Adamu Asumah, 35, one of the alleged kidnappers of a member of the Tiger Eye PI in Tamale last Saturday into police custody.

Adamu, whose plea was not taken, will reappear before the court, presided over by Mr Justice Twumasi Appiah, on October 19, 2015.
Adamu has been charged with kidnapping and assault.
The presiding judge, after listening to both counsel for the accused person and the prosecution, said although the charge preferred against Adamu was a bailable one, the court had decided to remand him (Adamu) in police custody for his own safety and for the police to conduct further investigations into the matter.
Crowd
A large crowd that had besieged the court to see the victim and the accused was disappointed, as the police brought only the accused person to court.
A police source told the Daily Graphic that the victim, who was also the complainant in the case, had not been taken to court for security reasons.
Also said to be in court were the families of the accused person and the victim.
Security was tight within and outside the court premises to prevent any chaotic scenes and situation.

The facts of the case, read in court by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mr Zackariah Wemah, said the accused was Adamu Asumah, 35, while the complainant was
Ishmael Hussein, 24, a member of the Tiger Eye PI that worked with undercover journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas on his exposé on bribery in the Judiciary.
He said in the early hours of Saturday, October 10, 2015, the police in Tamale received a distress call that a member of the Tiger Eye PI team had been kidnapped by some people in Tamale.
He told the court that the Tiger Eye member was first abducted at the Tamale Polytechnic area where he had gone to visit his relatives but was later taken to two places before he was rescued by the police at a shop at the Aboabo Market which belonged to a brother of one of the retired justices implicated in the bribery scandal.
Mr Wemah said the accused person was arrested by the police during the rescue operation and after investigations he was charged with the offence.
