Kasapreko supports Korle Bu

This formed part of proceeds accrued from the one pesewa fund established by the company early this year to assist the centre.

In January this year, the company pledged to donate one pesewa from the sale of every Awake purified mineral water into a fund to help the Cardio Centre as part of its corporate social responsibility.

Aside from assisting the general running of the centre, the fund was also meant to cushion needy heart patients who report to the centre for treatment.

Additionally, the Group Chairman of Kasapreko, Dr Kwabena Adjei, pledged to assist the centre with GH¢10,000 each month for the next six months from his personal resources.

The Managing Director, Mr Richard Adjei, led a delegation of company officials to make the donation to the centre last Wednesday.

In a short address, Mr Adjei emphasised the company’s continuous support to the centre, adding that “we hope to cross GH¢200,000 by the end of the year”.

According to him, the establishment of the fund was a philanthropic activity and an initiative geared towards promoting the Awake purified mineral water brand.

Explaining why the centre was chosen, Mr Adjei stated that it formed the core of the hospital.

Judicious use

Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, the Director of the centre, Dr Lawrence Sereboe, expressed appreciation for the gesture.

He indicated that the money would be put to judicious use in the running of the centre.

Dr Sereboe also called on Ghanaians to continuously patronise the Awake mineral water, “since one pesewa will be donated to the fund for every bottle of the water bought”.
