Incest: Father, daughter in the dock
A father and his daughter who allegedly indulged in an incestuous relationship have found themselves in trouble with the law.

The police in Kumasi arraigned them after investigations revealed that the two agreed to indulge in the act.
The man, Kwadwo Mintah, is a 40-year-old driver, while his daughter, Doreen Mensah, is aged 20.
They have been remanded in prison custody by a Kumasi Circuit Court and are to reappear on Friday, July 19.
A police source told the Daily Graphic yesterday that the two were arrested and put before court because both of them were aware of their biological connection, even though they were consenting adults.
According to Doreen, she gave in to the father’s advances after he allegedly threatened to invoke the Ashanti river deity, Antoa Nyamaa, to harm her if she refused to have sex with him.
She had been living with her father since the death of her mother and fearing that her father would carry out his threats, she had had sex with her father about 10 times before the relationship was discovered.
The father, on the other hand, blamed the daughter for making sexual advances at him which resulted in what he described as the unfortunate act.
The Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) at the Zongo Police in Kumasi handled the investigations.
