Housing Fair good bridge between buyers, sellers — Broll Ghana

A manager at Broll Property Services, Laila Addae, has said the ongoing Graphic-GREDA Housing Fair at the GHUD Park of the Accra Mall is a game changer for the real estate industry and should be continued.

She said the fair provided the platform for buyers of immovable properties, sellers, lessees and intermediaries, such as Broll Ghana, to interact and cut the best deal that was suitable for all parties.

Speaking to the Daily Graphic on the sidelines of the fair yesterday, Ms Addae noted that her outfit would get access to persons who hitherto found it lethargic to come to them.

“As real estate agents, we advertise and market properties for landlords and ladies, we do brokering, if you are looking to buy property or land or rent a commercial or retail space, you come to us and we will be able to assist you,” she said.

She said unlike the usual agents who search for houses and accommodation for tenants, Broll Ghana had introduced innovative ways such as website services and email addresses and contacts that made it easier for prospective buyers and lessees to easily access.

“If you are looking to buy property or land or you want commercial space or retail space, you could contact Broll and we will be able to assist you,” she noted.

Patrons

Students from some tertiary and second-cycle institutions have been fully engaged in the fair. While many converged on the various booths asking probing questions, others were seen engaging some staff of these real estate developers on the rudiments of their work.

The public was also not left out as some members of the public, who visited the fair, evaluated the potential of buying houses and homes, including other landed properties.

When the Daily Graphic spoke with some of the participants, they expressed delight at such a fair and advocated more of such events to sensitise the public to the real estate market.

“This is the first time I have had firsthand knowledge about what real estate is about, how houses are built, sold and bought, we need more of this,” Dzifa, a student of Accra Technical University (ATU), told the Daily Graphic.

Innovation

The fair also saw some innovative ways real estate developers have adopted to attract customers and clients to their booths. These include on-screen telecasting of landed properties from a large screen to prospective home buyers.

Others have also printed out colourful fliers and paraphernalia to be distributed to any interested home buyer or someone who needs to know about real estate.

Some booths also brandish tablets, which are shown to clients and customers that entail the properties, which are to be sold.

Housing fair

The annual event features everything from housing solutions to the final touches needed to complete a dream home. Key stakeholders in the housing sector, including the Lands Commission, SIC Insurance, Vanguard Assurance, ASHFOAM, DEVTRACO, Waylead, CCAG, and Sedan Landbank, have gathered to interact with the public.

Other notable participants include Hollard Insurance, STL Superlock, Broll Ghana, Affordable Luxury Homes, Lakeside Estate, Star Properties, Spotlight Homes, Latex Foam, First National Bank, Azar Chemical Industries Limited, Regimanuel Gray Limited, Cornerstone Developments, Emerald Properties and Swami India Ghana Limited.
