The app, a multimedia platform, allows readers to subscribe to the company’ newspaper brands — the Daily Graphic, The Mirror, Graphic Business, Graphic Sports, Graphic Showbiz and Junior Graphic — while offering free content on its website, Graphic Online; audio-visual contents and content from its online television, Graphic TV.

The Graphic NewsPlus replaces the Graphic News App, the digital version of the company's newspapers which had been in operation since 2015 and which offered subscribers the opportunity to access the newspapers right on their mobile devices and desktops.

Enhanced value

The Managing Director of the GCGL, Mr Ato Afful, said the relaunch would give enhanced value and better content to readers and advertisers, in line with the company's commitment to satisfy its stakeholders.

"I'm sure our readers will be very excited about what it is that we do. It is factual, it is credible and they will get value for money," he said.

Rich menu

According to the Head of Information Systems at the GGCL, Mrs Christabel Addo-Mfoamfo, the app was named Graphic NewsPlus  “because we give you more in this app.”

She said the App came with a rich menu, which included unique content, hourly update of news, soft newspaper out by 6 a.m. and videos, podcasts and pictures.

The rest, she said, were archive of all papers, and android, iOS Apps.

“Just search for Graphic NewsPlus, download and install as any app. Begin enjoying content, sign up to enjoy our papers at a reduced rate of GH¢1.50 and just log out and log in from your profile after signing up,” Mrs Addo-Mfoamfo stated.
