A report of the environment science and technology committee of parliament has described the action of the Assembly as unaccepted.

Addressing parliament yesterday, the Member of Parliament for Amasaman Emmanuel Nii Okai Laryea says the ministry of works and housing is in support of the invasion.

“The entire land has been taken over by the ministry of works and housing to undertake what it claims to be an unaffordable housing project” he said.

He added that if the Government is serious to ensuring that science and Technology be boosted in the country, it mustn’t take lands that belong to the CSIR.

This is because, that is the only land that houses the animal research institute, crops and food research institute of which the entire land of about 100 aches has been taken .

He therefore calls on the Government to release the land.
