Golden Tulip Accra rewards staff
Remaining a key event on the hotel’s annual calendar, the durbar provides a platform where management engages the staff periodically, on broader issues of improving their welfare and working conditions.
It is also used to reward hardworking staff and brainstorm new ways to enhance customer satisfaction.
Last Friday’s event saw the staff articulate concerns related to their welfare in addition to volunteering useful suggestions on how to guarantee the satisfaction of customers and clients of the hotel.
These were highly appreciated and taken notice of by the management, represented at the durbar by the General Manager (GM), Mr Thom Sheriff; the Sales and Marketing Manager, Mrs Bertha de Graft-Johnson; the Xperience Manager, Mr Mark Gaskin, the Executive Chef, Mr Thierry Dieu, and the new HR Manager, Mrs Araba Ekubaaba Quagraine.
In a brief remark, Mr Sheriff assured the staff that their concerns and suggestions would be factored into key decision-making efforts to bring about their satisfaction.
He noted that due to the hard work and commitment of the workers, the Golden Tulip Hotel now commanded leadership in the country’s hotel and hospitality industry. He said, however, the hotel could not be complacent as competition was getting keener.
“It is your hard work that has brought the hotel this far, and placed us ahead of competition in the hospitality and hotel business,” Mr Sheriff observed, assuring them that: “We, as part of management, will take all contributions here today to guide us in our decision-making.”
He thanked them for their hard work in 2013 so far and urged that “as you have started with only two months into the year, you will continue to give your best and not [rest] on your oars.”
