The Manya Krobo Community Bank PLC more than doubled its profit after tax from GH¢4.0 million in 2024 to GH¢9.3 million in 2025.
The increase represents an increase of 131 per cent increase. This outstanding performance further strengthened the bank's capital base, enhanced shareholder value and positioned the institution to pursue its strategic priorities with greater confidence.
The 45th Annual General Meeting at Odumase Krobo called on shareholders to uphold the highest standards towards the growth of the bank to expand its capital base.
The Manya Krobo Community Bank PLC is a limited liability company incorporated in Ghana under the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992).
The bank has eight registered branches at Abanse, Somanya, Akuse, Kpong, Madina, Ashiyie, Ashaiman, Ashaley-Botwe and three mobilisation centres at Kakasunaka No1, Agomanya and Zenu.
The Board Chairman, Mr Patrick Buckor, said the total assets of the bank increased by 27.4 per cent from GH¢263.00 million in 2024 to GH¢335.1 million at the end of 2025, supported principally by strong growth in customer deposits and retained earnings. Customer deposits increased by 27.0 per cent from GH¢227.0 million to GH¢288.3 million, reflecting growing customer confidence in the bank and providing a strong funding base for future business expansion.
Robust growth
He said the bank also recorded robust growth in its lending and investment activities. Gross loans and advances increased by 35.0 per cent from GH¢73.7 million to GH¢99.6 million while the investment portfolio expanded by 28.0 per cent from GH¢146.4 million to GH¢187.6 million.
Total credit disbursements
Total credit disbursements, he said reflect the bank’s continued commitment to supporting businesses, households and productive sectors of the economy through prudent and responsible financial intermediation.
In view of the bank's strong financial performance and healthy capital position, the board recommended the payment of GH¢0.0504 per share, which was approved by the shareholders and the requisite regulatory approval from the Bank of Ghana.
The proposed dividend amounted to GH¢2.33 million as compared to GH¢1.53 million in 2024, representing 25 per cent of the bank's profit after tax for the year ended December 31, 2025.
This recommendation reflected the board's commitment to delivering attractive returns to shareholders while maintaining adequate capital to support future growth, regulatory compliance and the successful implementation of the bank's 2026–2028 strategic plan.
The Board Chairman, Mr Patrick Buckor, in his report noted that the bank committed to strong corporate governance practices that allocated rights and responsibilities among its shareholders, the Board of Directors and the Executive Management to provide effective oversight and management of the bank in a manner that enhanced shareholders’ value and promoted investors’ confidence.
Mr Buckor stressed that the bank delivered an exceptional financial performance in 2025, demonstrating the resilience of its business model, adding, “the bank’s income performance was quite impressive.”
The President of the Eastern Region Chapter of the Association of Community Banks, Prof. Patrick Tandoh - Offin, lauded Manya Krobo Community Bank PLC for its innovative programmes and policies tailored to the needs of farmers, women entrepreneurs, youth and small-scale businesses.
The Executive Director of the Association of Community Banks, Solomon Nkansah, commended the Manya Krobo Rural Bank for its transition to Manya Krobo Community Bank PLC in line with the new regulatory framework. Five of the Directors of the Bank, were re-elected at the Annual General Meeting.
