Ghana Education Excellence Awards 2026 launched

An awards programme to celebrate stakeholders and institutions whose work is shaping the future of education has been launched.

To be known as the National Education Excellence Awards Ghana, the awards are aimed at bringing together outstanding institutions and education leaders from across the country for a celebration of excellence, innovation and impact on education.

It is an initiative of KN Unique Communications and is designed to recognise institutions and individuals making meaningful contributions to the growth and transformation of Ghana’s education.

Also, it will spotlight achievements in areas including academic leadership, institutional development, innovation, technology, research, skills development and educational impact.

The initiative is expected to bring together and build relationships with key stakeholders within Ghana’s education ecosystem, including institutional heads, education leaders, government representatives, corporate organisations and other industry stakeholders.

The first edition will be held on November 28, on the theme: “Celebrating institutions; recognising leaders, advancing education.”

The initiative comes at a time when educational institutions are increasingly being called upon to demonstrate not only academic performance but also innovation, leadership, technology, adoption, skills development and measurable impact.

Eligibility

The awards are open to a wide range of educational institutions operating in Ghana, including universities and tertiary institutions, technical universities, colleges of education, senior high schools, junior high schools, basic and primary schools, and private and international schools.

TVET institutions, professional and vocational training institutions, online and distance-learning institutions, education technology, as well as education-focused organisations and foundations are also eligible.

For education leaders, administrators and institutional heads, being nominated goes beyond receiving an award.

It creates an opportunity to gain national recognition and strengthen visibility among students, parents, education stakeholders, partners and the wider public.
