Four arrested for killing cattle at Agogo
Four persons have appeared before the Agogo Magistrate’s Court for allegedly killing cattle belonging to some nomadic herdsmen in the area.

The four were arrested by the Agogo Police around 10 a.m. on February 15, 2016.
They are Samuel Asindo, 30; Naagoe Njongdwe, 35; Issahaku Maa-Mohammed, 32, and Abubakari Nanji, 34.
Confirmation
The Public Relations Officer of the Ashanti Regional Police, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mr Yussif Tanko, confirmed the arrest to the Daily Graphic and said the suspects had been remanded in police custody to reappear on March 1, 2016.
He said that was to enable the police to conduct further investigations into their conduct.
He said the suspects had taken advantage of the disturbances in the area between the indigenes and the Fulani herdsmen to allegedly go round to kill the cattle and sell the meat.
Background
Agogo and its surrounding villages were recently in the news when some leading members of the area declared the area a no-cattle zone.
They called on the traditional authorities and the Ashanti Regional Security Council to rid the area of all cattle and herdsmen.
The residents accused the Fulani herdsmen of using their cattle to destroy their farmlands and produce and also engaging in criminal activities such as rape and armed robbery.
