The meeting, which started at the Foreign Affairs Ministry about 3 p.m., was held behind closed doors.
When the Daily Graphic approached some of the officials of the ministry for information on the meeting, they declined to provide any information.
Christian Council’s opposition
The CCG had observed with grave concern the lamentations and fears being expressed by many Ghanaians since news broke about the relocation of two Guantanamo Bay inmates with Al Qaeda ties to Ghana.
The council said it associated with the uncertainties and fears the issue had generated among Ghanaians and requested the government to consider an immediate recession of the decision and relocate the inmates outside the country.
