Fire 4 Future Conference 2026 held in Obuasi to empower students

Hundreds of students, educators, and professionals gathered at the Assembly Hall of Obuasi Senior High Technical School for the Fire 4 Future Conference 2026 (Onsite Edition), a youth empowerment programme aimed at equipping young people with knowledge, character and resilience.

The conference was convened by Mr Richmond Ayi d'Almeida, Chief Executive Officer of Draema Services, in collaboration with Mining Tools Pty GH Ltd. The event brought together accomplished professionals from diverse fields to mentor and challenge participants.

The programme was sponsored by Dr Francis Kwame Ghunney, Group Chairman and Group CEO of Mining Tools Pty GH Ltd. Speaking at the event, Dr Ghunney encouraged participants to embrace discipline, integrity and excellence, stating that investing in young people is one of the surest ways of securing Ghana's future.

In his opening remarks, Dr Ghunney called on students to believe in their potential and take deliberate steps toward building meaningful careers and impactful lives. He noted that the conference was created to bridge the gap between education and real-life success by exposing young people to practical lessons from accomplished professionals.

The conference featured presentations from a panel of speakers including Emil Ameyibor, Programmes Coordinator; Mr Abdulai Zakaria, Headmaster of Obuasi Senior High Technical School; Mawuli Asempapah, CEO of 4H Brand Limited; Pharm. Elizabeth Modupe d'Almeida, Specialist Pharmacist; Williams Asiamah Karikari (Sirwilly), Founder of the Purity Direction Foundation; and Ing. TwereNyame Acquah, Civil Reliability Engineer.

Participants engaged in sessions on topics including "Driven by Passion," "The Five Principles of Life," "Gen Z: My Strengths and Challenges," "Purity: A Lifestyle, Not a Limitation," and "Drugs: My Body, Reactions and Effects."

The event also featured musical performances by Adom Kiki and Odehyieba Priscilla.

Organisers expressed appreciation to the event's sponsors and partners, including Pepsodent, Nescafé, Promasidor, Bel Beverages, 4H Brand Limited, Aseda FM, and Orange 107.9 FM.
