Fanmilk rewards Independence Day promo winners

Fanmilk Ghana Limited, producers of Fanyogo has rewarded the grand prize winners of its Independence Day promotion "FanYogo CoolChop Promo" with a cash prize of GH¢63,000.

In commemoration of Ghana's 63rd Independence anniversary celebration, Fanmilk launched the "FanYogo CoolChop Promo" in February this year with the introduction of a special edition of its products known as Fanyogo Strawberry and Mango Passion which bore images of Ghana’s ‘Big Six’ as well as the Accra Jamestown Lighthouse.

To participate in the promotion, consumers were required to purchase the FanYogo Strawberry (110ml) or FanYogo Passion (150ml) and text the promo code on them to shortcode *950*6#.

Winners were randomly chosen electronically for the daily and weekly promotion.

They were awarded with prizes such as airtime, cash and smartphones.

Grand Finale

Speaking at the presentation ceremony in Accra Thursday, May 28, the Marketing Director of Fanmilk Ghana said, the promotion was a way of rewarding its loyal customers for their continuous support over the years.

"As we all know, FanYogo is one of Ghana's most iconic brands and has a strong heritage with over 50years of history. We could not have made it this far without them. This is our special way of saying Thank You for standing with us through this journey," he stated.

Mr. Amoako reiterated the company's commitment to promoting good health and environmental sustainability.

"Fanmilk ascribes strongly to the "One Planet, One Health" vision of our mother company Danone. This vision seeks to promote healthy eating and environmental sustainability. We have brought this vision to life within the COVID-19 crisis by donating generously to support frontline health and security professionals. In these trying times, we believe the cash rewards from this promo will help alleviate the plight of a few lucky people and change their lives for better," Mr. Amoako added.

Grand Prize

For the grand prize, valid entries received between February to April were accumulated to select the Grand Draw winners. Phone numbers of participants were grouped into clusters based on the number of entries. The ultimate prize winners were randomly selected electronically from the cluster with the highest entries.

At the end of the Grand Draw, Mr. Samuel Kwame Agyei, a food crop farmer from Nkoranza in the Bono East Region emerged the lucky winner of the GH¢63,000 Grand Prize. He was presented with a cheque of GH¢63,000.

Mr. Daniel Bukari Navas a graduate of the University of Development Studies (UDS), Wa, was also presented with a cheque of GH¢1000 for emerging the weekly winner.

Appreciation

In his remarks, Mr. Agyei expressed his appreciation to the management of FanMilk.

He intimated that he would be using the money received to expand his farm as well as further his tertiary education.
