According to Nii Lante Lamptey, the head of the family, they litigated with the Dzanbi-Bi-Amu Family in 2007 and judgement was given in favour of  the Nii Lante-Okunka Family on  April 17, 2012.

Nii Lamptey said the  High Court also granted the family the title to the land and placed an  injunction on the  Dzanbi-Bi-Amu Family,

An order was given by the High Court to the Lands Commission and the judgement was plotted at the Lands Commission.

He said although a writ of possession was granted to the Nii Lante-Okunka Family, it had come to the family’s notice through a search at the Lands Commission that the same  Nii Dzanbi-Bi-Amu Family, that lost the case, had also plotted their name in the Lands Commission records.

According to the spokesperson, an estate developer, F. K. A. Company, which was granted a portion of the land from the Dzanbi-Bi-Amu Family, had also got his name plotted on the Lands Commission records.

“Four other families have also got their names plotted at the Lands Commission without having a site plan or a title to the land from any court,” he stated

Nii Lamptey  added that  the Nii Lante-Okunka Family had not been informed about any deletion of its name as the owner of the said land from the Lands Commission records and neither had the said judgement been set aside on appeal or impugned in any manner by any appellate court.

This, the spokesperson said, had caused confusion on the land and may lead to trouble in the area, if the encroachers on the land were not halted

We must let the rule of law prevail, he added.
