Ewe-Ashanti Union honours Asantehene’s Manwerehene
The Ewe-Ashanti Union (EWASH) has honoured Baafour Dr Osei Hyeamann Brantuo VI, the Asantehene’s Manwerehene.

The honour was bestowed on him for his service to mankind, as well as his contribution to the growth and development of the nation.
In a citation, the union recognised Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s special aide’s strong advocacy for the union of all ethnic groups in the country.
The citation was presented by the Co-chairman of EWASH, Torgbui Gobah Tengey Seddoh, at a ceremony.
It stated: “You believe and strongly advocate the union of all ethnic groups, leading to the formation of Ewe-Ashanti Union and Fante-Ashanti Union which you are nursing to become giants as Co-chairperson, with Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, as the Life Patron.”
“You are a shining star among your chiefs and people, both low and high. You always display humility, which has catapulted you higher and higher in all fields of endeavour.”
The group also recognised the Manwerehene’s contribution to the medical field as a practitioner who established the first mammography machine for breast cancer detection through X-rays.
“You are acclaimed worldwide as an anti-aging enthusiast and expert, and, therefore, honour your works and achievements,” the citation added.
In his acceptance speech, the Manwerehene expressed appreciation for the honour and pledged to work for unity and cooperation among Ewes and Ashantis to promote national development.
He charged the executive members of the union, who had earlier been introduced to the Asantehene, to serve the interest of the people and ensure the establishment of businesses.
