At a brief ceremony in Tema, the Commercial Director of Everpure Ghana Limited, Mr Edbert Owusu Adjah, said “since water is life and a necessity, it is essential to support frontline service providers who are helping to fight the pandemic.”

Government’s efforts

He further stated that the company was aware of government’s efforts in fighting the pandemic and that it was also important that the business community would contribute its bit to support the fight.

The Tema Regional Commander, DCOP Edward Johnson Akrofi Oyerifi, said “the COVID-19 had come as a surprise and that many governments were fighting hard to keep it under control by putting in place measures to protect citizens.

“As security agencies in Ghana, we are implementing the movement restriction as directed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and we are doing everything possible to keep everyone safe. Water is an essential component that can energise personnel on the ground for efficient work per their duties assigned,” he said.

DCOP Akrofi Oyerifi later thanked the management of Everpure for their effort and kind gesture.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Tema General Hospital, Dr Richard Anthony thanked the team from Everpure for thinking about them and added that their support would go a long way to help workers in the fight against the novel coronavirus.

At the Ga South Assembly, the Human Resources and Administration Manager of the Company, Madam Rosemary Asiamah, made the donation on behalf of the firm.

Receiving the items, the Coordinating Director of the Assembly, Mr Emmanuel Baisie, expressed gratitude to the company on behalf of the assembly.

The management of Everpure Ghana further encouraged the public to strictly adhere to the safety measures outlined by the government.
