“ECG will implement tariff reduction to the fullest”
Reverend William Hutton-Mensah, the Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), has said that the company would implement the recent tariff reduction to the fullest.

He said the company had therefore programmed its system for the implementation of the new tariff.
Rev Hutton-Mensah was interacting with the Ghana News Agency at the opening of the eighth quadrennial congress of the Power Queens Club of ECG in Koforidua on Friday.
The managing director said the subsidy would apply to all consumers of electricity in the country including pre-paid or cash based, unit based, and post paid customers of ECG.
He said that the company had already started the 25 per cent reduction and would ensure that the implementation was done to the fullest to benefit consumers.
He commended the ladies club of the company for their dedication and commitment to the company over the years.
Mr Hutton-Mensah urged the ladies to continue to create a good image for the company at all times.
The Board Chairman of ECG, Mr Tony Oteng Gyasi, urged the company’s staff to ensure improvement and efficiency in their work.
He said good customer relationship should be the hallmark of the staff.
The Eastern Regional Manager of the company, Mr Abraham Anokye Abebresse, said the redefined vision of the company of becoming one of the leading electricity distribution companies in Africa by the year 2020 would become a mirage if they continue to do things the same way as before.
He urged the staff to change and adopt great passion for the job and desire to “die” a little for the company.
Mr Abebresse said the company was at the crossroads and needed to redeem its dented image and be seen by the average Ghanaian consumer of electrify as a serious business oriented company.
The Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, Ms Mavis Ama Frimpong, said the welfare of Ghanaians would continue to be the business of government, hence the 25 per cent reduction of electricity in the form of subsidy.
The National President of the Club, Mrs Belinda Yeboah Dwamena, said over the years the club had made invaluable contributions to the support issues related to women, children, families and the company in general.
