ECG boss not sacked — Prez

President John Dramani Mahama has refuted claims that he has sacked the Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Rev William Hutton-Mensah.

“I don’t know where that is coming from. He hasn’t been sacked,” he said.

Touching on a number of issues in an interview on Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana programme hosted by Paul Adom-Otchere, President Mahama shed some light on the cost of a number of infrastructural projects at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle, the construction of 200 senior high schools and the Kasoa Inter-change.

He said it was short-sighted for people to raise concerns over the cost of those projects without looking at the scope of work to be executed.
