Maxwell Yeboah, a nephew of the complainant, Kwaku Krah, 39, used his elbow to hit the mouth of his uncle during a confrontation, which resulted in the removal of three of his lower teeth.

Yeboah pleaded guilty in court with explanation for causing unlawful harm contrary to section 69 of the Criminal Offences Act of Ghana (Act 29 of 1960).

However, after his explanation in court that he was first assaulted by the uncle which made him to retaliate, Yeboah was found guilty by the presiding judge, Mr Justice Alexander Osei Tutu.

The Dormaa Municipal Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Mahamud Yussif, who briefed The Mirror in Dormaa Ahenkro, said Krah and Yeboah both lived in the same house at Dormaa Ahenkro in the Brong Ahafo Region.

He said on June 21, 2013, Yeboah threatened Krah that he would kill him and based on that threat, Krah decided to vacate the house.

DSP Yussif said on June 26, 2013 around 9 p.m, Krah in the company of one Abu went to the house to take a bed that he had left behind and just at the entrance of the house, they met Yeboah.

He said Yeboah told the complainant that he would not allow him to enter the house and in an attempt to force himself in,  Yeboah grabbed him, bit off his earlobe and in an ensuing confrontation, used his elbow to hit Krah on the mouth which resulted in the removal of three of his lower teeth.

DSP Yussif said Krah was rescued by onlookers and went to the police station to make a report. Krah was issued with a police medical form to go to hospital.
