Deadline for entries for Auto Awards extended
Organisers of the Ghana Auto Awards have extended the deadline for submission of entries from August 25 to September 21, 2017 to make room for more auto companies to enter the competition.

Seven companies—Honda Place, Stallion Motors, Auto Plaza, Premium Motors, Silver Star, Tata and Alliance Motors have so far submitted entries for the event slated for the Kempinski Hotel on October 20, 2017.
The event will be preceded by an exhibition/auto show on October 19, 2017.

The Executive Director of XCL, Mr Richard Abbey Jnr, told the Daily Graphic that more companies were expected to enter the competition by close of the extended deadline.
He said major auto companies in the industry in Ghana were really gearing up for this year’s auto show.
The show is aimed at showcasing and introducing new entrants into the auto market and to promote authorised dealership.

This year’s exhibition will feature top most cars under the year in review, these include our top vehicles from Mercedes Benz, Suzuki, Range Rover, Land Rover, Porsche, Hyundai, Isuzu, Nissan, Honda, Tata Daewoo, Audi, Mitsubishi, Chevrolet, Skoda, Volkswagen, Toyota among other brands.
The auto show is expected to serve as a sales platform and networking field for auto dealers through the convergence of potential buyers, car enthusiasts, auto dealers and vendors.
According to the organisers, industry players were overly excited this year to showcase their new products to the general public and were of the view that the competition this year would be much tighter compared to last year.
The main essence of the auto show is to profile saloon and four-wheeled drives (brand new vehicles), vans, light and heavy trucks, buses, motor cycles, batteries, lubricants and oil accessories, paints, vehicle parts, tyres, glass, online auto portals, insurance companies, banking and finance institutions, Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) and vehicle inspection companies.
