Catholic priest involved in Friday’s accident laid to rest

Many of  parishioners clad in black and white  clothes wept uncontrollably when the sea of priests processed to the altar, with some mourners shouting,” Fr Yeboah where are you, your colleagues are getting ready to say mass.”

Most Rev Nketsiah asked the parishioners to mourn the death of Fr. Yeboah in faith and asked them to   have the hope that one day they will meet in Heaven as one big family.

In a sermon Monsignor Martin Essirfie told the parishioners not to lose hope but rather have faith in the living God who knows what is best for mankind and said   Rev Fr Yeboah executed his priestly work dutifully.

He said life was full of ups and downs and that what had happened was so worrying and disturbing that it was only the act of faith that could help.

A number of tributes including one by his seminary classmates and St Lawrence Catholic Church all described Rev Fr Yeboah as a hard- working man who was dedicated to his priestly work.

He said he was very prayerful and performed a lot of deliverance   and was very generous and kind to everyone who came his way.

Late Fr. Yeboah was a priest for the past 20 years and was transferred from Awutu Breku St Mark’s Catholic Church to St Lawrence Catholic Church  Abura in  2011 where he introduced daily morning  masses, community masses  as well as deliverance and healing services every first and last weeks of the month.
