The Police have arrested a 43-year-old Burkinabe national for allegedly murdering his girlfriend and her 13-year-old daughter.

The suspect allegedly buried the bodies of the two in a near-by bush in their house at Kokrobite in the Greater Accra Region.

The police in a statement said the three had been living together since January 2020 until the sudden disappearance of the two.

A strong stench in the neighbourhood and the obvious absence of the woman and her daughter prompted neighbours to lodge a police complaint at Kokrobite.

This led to the discovery of the bodies of the deceased by the police.

The Police has since applied for an order from the court for the bodies to be exhumed for autopsy purposes.
