Boiler kills four near Kade
Baah died at the St Dominic Hospital on Saturday, while Abdullah passed away at Korle-Bu on Sunday morning.
The Kade District Police Commander, Superintendent Stephen Delaporte, told the Daily Graphic that the accident occurred about 8 a.m. on Saturday when the workers were busy at the factory.
He said the explosive power of the boiler sent flying blocks of the building, iron rods and heavy metals in the air, leading to the death and injury of the workers.
Five out of six workers who were rushed to the St Dominic Hospital were discharged the same day, while the sixth is still on admission.
The four injured workers who were taken to Korle-Bu were said to be responding to treatment.
Meanwhile, the bodies of Baah and Abdullah had been deposited in morgues at the St Dominic Hospital and Korle-Bu, respectively.
